🎯The Crisis

“They Want to Sell Our History. We Want to Heal With It.”

The former Cloverdale Middle School — once a beacon of education in Southwest Little Rock — is now at risk of being sold to yet another charter school. But our students don’t need another under-resourced academic shell. They need a place to belong, to grow, to be cared for. They need a Social Hospital — a space for cultural, mental, spiritual, and emotional restoration.

❤️Our Vision

The Social Hospital: A Place to Heal, Learn, and Rise

We envision a vibrant hub of healing and transformation — a Social Hospital — where families, youth, and elders can receive services that restore not just minds, but lives. We want to transform this building into a cultural care center offering:

  • Mental health support

  • Life skills and job training

  • Performing arts and mentorship programs

  • After-school and re-entry programs

  • Safe space for healing and hope

This is not a dream. It’s a necessity.

👥Who We Are

The Queens Initiative Project: PRESENTED BY THE HOME TEEN YOUTH CENTER

This campaign is led by Dionne Dantzler, founder of The Home Teen Youth Center, and a host of visionary artists, community builders, and youth advocates. Together, we created the Queens Initiative Project, a movement rooted in healing generational trauma and reclaiming spaces for our youth and community.

🧱Why This Matters

“We’ve Already Lost Too Much.”

“We used to have all these programs when we were younger. Now, there’s nothing left to take away. Our children are dying in the streets, going to jail, disappearing into systems. We cannot stand by another day.” - Dionne Dantzler, CEO HTYC
